As many of you likely already know Terry made his grand entrance into heaven this morning. I know he was welcomed by mom who was very excited to see her son come home. We here on the other side have had a hard day saying our farewells. Terry was surrounded by his family to the very end. Margaret was with him as he very peacefully slipped away. Our dear friend and pastor, Norm, was with us after Terry passed and shared these very beautiful verses from Rev. 21:4 "He (God) will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death, or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." We rejoice in the knowledge that Terry will have no more sorrow, no more pain, only joy and rejoicing. We will all miss him so much, he was the best father, a very dear brother, a loving uncle and the perfect other half for Margaret and to many of you a very cherished friend.
I will post details of his memorial service as soon as they have been confirmed.

Goodbye for now, Terry. You will be so missed by so many.
ReplyDeleteWe are praying for all the family. How difficult for you!
May the precious peace of God, that passes all understanding, keep you at this time. May you find comfort in all the special memories that will be flooding your minds and hearts
Love ,
Keith and Grace
Our condolences to Terry's family and those who were there as care givers in these past few month's.
ReplyDeleteIts hard to believe that Terry is gone. 62 seems to young but God knows when our race is over and Terry's was over.
He was right on schedule.
Terry and I ( and 3 or 4 other guys) became good friends in our teens thru First Alliance Church in Calgary.
We were all nuts about cars and Terry always had a hot car. Terry had the most friends of anybody I knew and his people skills were un-matched. He was always ready to help someone who needed help and was always hospitable. ( Just like his Mom & Dad).
In the 70's we both married a Heather and were in each others wedding party. Then life took us on different paths and 5 or 10 years would pass before we would cross paths again.
One of our last encounters was when Terry was in the jade export business here in BC. Only Terry could have managed such a challenging project.
His insight into what made people tick was amazing.
He will be missed, for sure.
But we know that Terry is in the presence of Our Saviour. A better place for sure.
Its the assurance that someday we will all be re-united with parents, brothers, sisters and other loved ones that keeps us going.
Its a great comfort to us all at times like this.
Blessings to all Terry's family.
