Travelling along the Road
Terry came home from Jubilee Hosp. in Victoria yesterday by transfer ambulance. They did an MRI and also another radiation treatment. The doctor's finally agreed to release him if Margaret had someone there to help. If they hadn't released him I think Margaret would have driven the truck down herself and kidnapped him. Colleen arrived for the weekend and Troy and Angela are there today to help. Terry is resting as comfortably as possible but now has lost the use of both his legs. An OT came in yesterday to help them learn how to move Terry to make things a bit easier. Terry's not sure how successful that was but they are all coping for now. Changes seem to happening very quickly, please pray for Margaret for strength and rest, for Terry for peace and release of fear. I know it is hard for all the kids and our families to see Terry going through this, if we could take it from him any of us would gladly do so. We all love Terry so much. Pray for Terry's kids, Travis, Troy & Angela, Sarah & Mike, Colleen & Rick and Robyn for emotional and physical strength as they go through this with their dad.

Remember the song that Russ and Carolyn sang, "Resting in the Arms of God"? I know these words were of such comfort to me when I was facing a similar situation to yours, Terry. I know you have heard it before. Here it is again.
ReplyDeleteSheltered in the Arms of God
I feel the touch of hands so warm and tender.
They're leading me in paths that I must trod.
I have no fear when Jesus walks beside me,
For I'm sheltered in the arms of God.
So let the storms raise high, the dark clouds rise--
They don't worry me
For I'm sheltered safe within the arms of God
He walks with me and not of earth shall harm me
For I'm sheltered in the arms of God.
Soon I shall hear the call from heavens portal,
"Come home my child, it's the last mile you must trod."
I'll fall asleep and wake in God's new heaven
Sheltered safe within the arms of God."
I hear that song over and over in my head and felt I needed to send it to you.
You, Terry , are a child of God. The evil one cannot touch you! You are safe in those loving, strong arms. You can rest all your weight on them!
We're all pulling for you Terry!
Keith, Jenni and I send our love and lots of prayers!
Grace
